About Melanie

Hello! My name is Mel and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience helping adults and adolescents work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and body image struggles. I have degrees in Clinical Psychology and Social Work, and am currently pursuing my PhD in Social Work, focusing on embodiment. Using what I’ve learned, I take a strengths-based, compassionate framework, and look at the whole picture—how your mind, body, and community shape your narrative.

I specialize in working with people who struggle to regulate their emotions (especially those with borderline personality disorder), eating disorders (especially binge eating disorder) and helping people create safety and trust with their bodies to become their authentic selves. I am trained in DBT, trauma-informed therapy, and Play therapy, and my style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth.
